Hi I’m Johnny & I’m the brain behind Sunday Gravy
In a world full of creative voices I struggled to find one that felt authentic to me. Then one fateful day, I was bored. I was feeling nostalgic so I put on some oldies and whipped up a giant pot of gravy and meatballs.
The entire experience was therapeutic. I thought about my childhood and our giant, ritualistic, loud, talking-with-hands Italian-American Sunday dinners. Missing the warmth I used to feel amidst the utter chaos of Grandma’s Sunday dinners, my mind started to wander. Standing over that bubbly pot of gravy I was overflowing with ideas. My hunt for a creative voice was suddenly gone. Merging my love of skate graphics and Italian-American culture, Sunday Gravy was born.
